Requests Under the Public Information Act
Requests submitted under the Public Information Act are handled by the City Secretary. Requests can be submitted by mail, fax, email, online using the Public Information Request Form, or in person, and must be in writing.

All requests should include enough description and detail about the information requested to enable the City to accurately identify and locate the information requested.
If you are requesting a copy of a Texas Peace Officer's Crash Report, you do not need to submit a Public Information Request. For more information, visit the Crash Reports page.
Body-Worn Camera Footage
To request body-worn camera footage, you must fill out the Authorization Form in addition to the Public Records Request Form.

Requests delivered in person should be delivered to the City Secretary's Office in the 2nd Floor Administration Suite of Melissa City Hall located at 3411 Barker Avenue and may be submitted Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
