Mission and Purpose The mission of the Department of Public Works is to provide outstanding public services for the citizens of Melissa, our visitors, and our neighboring subdivisions while maintaining a superior infrastructure, guaranteeing a clean and safe environment as well as sustaining a high quality of life.
The Public Works Department provides many essential services that impact the daily lives of everyone who lives and works in Melissa. The department is primarily responsible for maintaining, managing, and engineering the City’s infrastructure.
Through the annual budget and capital improvements program, our goal is to provide and maintain the best infrastructure possible. This includes:
