The City of Melissa is served by America Medical Response (AMR), a private company that is contracted through Collin County for the best available and highest standard of medical services.
Certification
The Melissa Fire Department (MFD) provides first responder services to compliment AMR's medical services. Many times the Melissa Fire Department will arrive on the scene to begin patient care or begin scene stabilization prior to AMR's arrival. All MFD members are First Responders and many are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and EMT/Paramedics.
