Everbridge
Everbridge is the City of Melissa’s official emergency alert system, used to share critical, time-sensitive information during emergencies and significant events that may impact public safety or daily services. Authorized City and public safety staff use Everbridge to quickly send alerts to residents through phone calls, text messages, email, and push notifications through the Everbridge Public Safety App. This multi-channel approach helps ensure important information reaches residents when it matters most.
Everbridge is a key part of the City’s emergency planning and communication efforts. In the event of an emergency or urgent situation, the City can use the system to distribute accurate, verified information across multiple platforms at once. Alerts may include severe weather, water or utility service disruptions, gas leaks, road closures, police or fire activity, missing persons, and other public safety updates.
Residents who create an Everbridge account can customize the types of alerts they receive and choose how they receive them. Personal contact information is protected and is used only for official City notifications.
The Everbridge Public Safety App provides the fastest access to alerts through push notifications and allows residents to stay informed even when they are away from home.
Everbridge also supports automated National Weather Service alerts, which are location-based and issued only when a registered address falls within a warning area.

Everbridge Sign Up Questions
Visit the City of Melissa’s Everbridge Community Notification Enrollment page and enter the required information online, including your address, name, phone number(s), and email address. This is the quickest way to sign up, as the information you provide is immediately registered in the system.
Residents who have recently moved within the City but kept the same phone number should be sure to enter their current address when registering. When completing the enrollment process, please fill out all screens. Any new information entered will replace previously stored data.
In some cases, addresses in newer phases of subdivisions may not be immediately recognized by the system. If your address is not accepted, you may temporarily use City Hall’s address (3411 Barker Avenue) and then contact the City so staff can follow up and assist.
For the fastest and most reliable alerts, residents are strongly encouraged to download the Everbridge Public Safety App, which delivers push notifications directly to your phone.

Everbridge
Everbridge is a multi-channel emergency communication system that allows the City of Melissa to quickly send alerts to specific locations or the entire community when immediate information needs to be shared.
When an emergency or urgent situation occurs, authorized City and public safety staff create an alert in Everbridge. The system then delivers that message through phone calls, text messages, email, and push notifications through the Everbridge Public Safety App, depending on the contact methods and preferences selected by the resident.
Everbridge may be used in situations that require immediate action, such as boil water notices, evacuation instructions, missing persons, or severe weather, as well as for important non-emergency notifications, including water service interruptions, road closures, and other significant service impacts.
Messages may include clear descriptions of the situation and, when necessary, instructions or recommended actions. Location-based targeting allows the City to notify only those residents who are directly affected.
To ensure accurate alert delivery, residents must register with a City of Melissa street address.
