The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025. starting at 3 PM. Continuous entertainment will take place until 9:30 PM. As the name suggests, the festival will occur on Melissa Road, where it intersects Sherman St. The festival area spans from Red River to Miller Rd.

The block of Melissa Road between Red River and Miller Rd. will be fully blocked off at 7 AM and reopened by 11 PM. Other portions of Melissa Road will start closing at 9 AM to accommodate the event’s setup.

Free parking is available in area lots and other nearby locations. Please see the parking map at https://www.cityofmelissa.com/473/Parking-Information for specific locations. Parking might be a challenge. Attendees who park on public streets must ensure that access to driveways, roads, or alleys is not blocked.

Attendees who park at Cardinal Stadium (3100 Cardinal Drive) and Zadow Park (3001 McKinney St.) are welcome to take advantage of complimentary round-trip shuttle service from 2:30 PM until 9:30 PM. See the Shuttle Map at https://www.cityofmelissa.com/478/Shuttle-Route for pickup and drop-off points. Both locations are designated as ADA-accessible. The shuttle will run approximately every 15 minutes.

Parking spots specifically for golf carts will be located at the DART Right of Way adjacent to the rail line between Cooper St. and Fannin Road. Please see the parking map for more information.

A wide variety of foods and beverages will be available for purchase. Food trucks and mobile vendors will offer prepared food, drinks, merch, and more. Vendors will accept credit and debit cards. Attendees are prohibited from bringing food and beverages onto the festival grounds, including beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. Alcohol sales will end at 9 p.m.

Because the festival area is an actual roadway, there are no provided seating areas. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, or folding chairs for their comfort. Tents, canopies, or any other structure are not allowed.

Yes! The Tribute Fest is designed with families in mind. The Kid Zone will include Ninja Nation and inflatables in partnership with Melissa’s Clown Around Party Rental.

Rain and lightning do not go well with musical instruments, equipment, and electric appliances. September weather can be unpredictable, but officials will provide ample notice of cancellation, if necessary. Unfortunately, there is no rain date.

Here’s the fine print. In the interest of everyone’s safety, the following items are prohibited: coolers, large bags, backpacks, food, drinks, contraband, weapons, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, laser pointers, aerial drones, or frisbees. Also prohibited are glass bottles and containers.
Unauthorized sales, solicitations, and distributions are likewise prohibited.
Persons entering the site may be subject to search for any prohibited items. Festival officials reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person violating the facility, local, state, or federal laws or whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by festival management.
Persons entering the Melissa Road Tribute Fest grant the City of Melissa permission to use the individual's name and likeness for any event-related publicity or advertising purposes.
