1. How do I contact City Departments?

All City of Melissa Department contact information is available in the Staff Directory. You may also navigate to specific departments by visiting the Departments page.

2. How do I contact other Elected Representatives for our area?

We have provided a list of County, State, and Federal Elected Officials that currently represent the City of Melissa as part of their jurisdiction or district. This page contains links to their respective websites with their contact information.

3. How do I contact the Melissa Economic Development Corporation (EDC)?

The Melissa Industrial and Economic Development Corporation (MIEDC) or 4A Board as it is commonly referred to assists the City Council by leading, directing and coordinating the broad-based expansion of the city’s business tax base. City Manager Jason Little currently serves as the staff liaison for the 4A Board and appointments may also be scheduled to meet with him or the Mayor.

Those that are interested in obtaining more information about developing in Melissa, current economic development initiatives, or seeking to schedule a related appointment with the Mayor or City Manager should email the Economic Development Corporation.

4. How do I contact the Mayor and/or City Council?

Mayor Jay Northcut and the City Council all have been provided a City of Melissa email which is linked on the City Council page.

You may also contact City Secretary Hope Cory at 972-838-2520 if you wish to make an appointment with Mayor Northcut. Ms. Cory can also assist with passing on information and special requests to the City Council. She is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the 2nd floor Administration Suite at City Hall.

5. How do I contact the Melissa Chamber of Commerce?

The Melissa Area Chamber of Commerce is located at 1501 W Harrison Street with offices in the historic Scott-Barker House. They may be reached by phone at 972-837-4277 or via email. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM.

6. How do I contact the Melissa Independent School District (ISD)?

The Melissa ISD can be reached at the District Home Office located at 1904 Cooper Street and by phone at 972-837-2411 from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. 

7. How do I contact the City for media inquiries?
