The Melissa Industrial and Economic Development Corporation (MIEDC) or 4A Board as it is commonly referred to assists the City Council by leading, directing and coordinating the broad-based expansion of the city’s business tax base. City Manager Jason Little currently serves as the staff liaison for the 4A Board and appointments may also be scheduled to meet with him or the Mayor.
Those that are interested in obtaining more information about developing in Melissa, current economic development initiatives, or seeking to schedule a related appointment with the Mayor or City Manager should email the Economic Development Corporation.
Mayor Reed Greer and City Council all have been provided a City of Melissa email which are linked on the City Council page.
You may also contact City Secretary Kacie Galyon at 972-838-2520 if you wish to make an appointment with Mayor Greer. Ms. Galyon can also assist with passing on information and special requests to the City Council. She is available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm in the 2nd floor Administration Suite at City Hall.
The Melissa Area Chamber of Commerce is located at 1501 W Harrison Street with offices in the historic Scott-Barker House. They may be reached by phone at 972-837-4277 or via email. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.
The Melissa ISD can be reached at the District Home Office located at 1904 Cooper Street and by phone at 972-837-2411 from 7:30 am to 5 pm.
