PRESS RELEASE:
CITY OF MELISSA TRANSITIONS TO EVERBRIDGE EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM
MELISSA, TX - The City of Melissa began using Everbridge as its official emergency notification system on February 1, 2026. Everbridge will replace CodeRED as the City’s emergency alert platform.
Everbridge will be used to share critical, time-sensitive information with residents during emergencies and significant events, including severe weather warnings, public safety situations, utility or water service disruptions, and other incidents that may impact the community.
The system allows the City to deliver alerts through phone calls, text messages, email, and push notifications through the Everbridge Public Safety App. Location-based alerts help ensure notifications are sent only to residents who are directly affected.
Residents are encouraged to create an Everbridge account to manage notification preferences and ensure they receive weather-related alerts. National Weather Service alerts are optional and must be selected during registration. Downloading the Everbridge Public Safety App is recommended for the fastest alert delivery.
How to Register and Manage Preferences
Residents can create or access their Everbridge account at:

Registration is free and allows residents to choose how they receive alerts and what types of weather notifications they want to receive.
