Reserving a City Park / Facility

The Melissa Parks System has two categories: City Sports Properties (the Ford Sports Village at The Z-Plex and the baseball fields at Zadow Park) and City Managed Park Facilities (all other City parks). Each category has its method of rental and use, so interested parties should be familiar with the differences.

City Sports Properties

The City of Melissa contracts with Melissa Sports LLC to maintain, operate, and manage the City Sports Properties, which include the Ford Sports Village at The Z-Plex and the baseball fields at Zadow Park. These facilities include artificial turf fields, multipurpose grass/soccer fields, and tennis courts, which are available for use. Melissa Sports, LLC maintains the schedule for practices and tournaments for the City Sports Properties, and the schedule is available for viewing on Melissa Sports.

City Managed Park Facilities

The City of Melissa currently has five city parks/facilities available for private use, subject to availability and approval by the City. Facilities available to reserve through the City include pavilions/gazebos, basketball/inline skate court, sand volleyball court, and restrooms (at Bob Miller Park and Zadow Park). All reservations MUST be made at least five days in advance. If you have any questions, please email our Parks and Facilities team.

Forms

To request a reservation for one of the City-managed park facilities, please review the [City of Melissa Rules and Regulations (PDF)] and the [Park Facilities Usage Fees and Deposits (PDF)]. When you're ready, you'll be directed to our reservation system. If this is your first time using the system, you will need to create an account before submitting your reservation request. After your account is set up, complete the Facility Reservation Request and the Deposit Refund Request.

A refund will be issued once your event concludes, any keys are returned, and the Deposit Refund Request has been completed. Refunds will arrive within two weeks.
