Proposed Fiscal Year 2015 Annual Budget Now Available
The City of Melissa Proposed Budget for FY 2014-15 is now available for review.  Additionally the City Council will hold a second Public Hearing for the discussion of the FY 2014 Tax Rate on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.   Click here for the full Public Notice.

City Offices and Library CLOSED Monday; Trash & Recycling Pickup Delayed to Thursday
The City of Melissa offices and Melissa Public Library will be CLOSED on Monday, September 1, 2014 in observance of Labor Day.  The Melissa Public Library will be open as regularly scheduled on Saturday, August 30.  Also in due to the holiday on Monday, trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day and service will be on Thursday, September 4th. As a reminder please have your carts out to the curb by 7:00 a.m. to insure you are not missed. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Once a Week Watering Permitted Through End of October 2014
Effective September 1, 2014, to ensure water quality is maintained throughout the water distribution systems, the City of Melissa will be following the recommendation of our water provider North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) to allow landscape watering once a week with sprinklers or irrigation systems through the end of October 2014.  All other water restrictions under Stage 3 will remain the same.  Visit our Water Conservation webpage for the full release.
